India ; day of positive mindfulness

Plenty happening with our friends around the globe - Sujata organised a positive mindfulness day in the forest to allow her students to experience freedom and fresh air escaping from their long period of lockdown

Our primary and nursery school in Uganda developed from Daniel's vision into a growing and successful educational establishment from 0 pupils to an enrolment today of 186 - Daniel brought his dream to fruition.

Nepal - three projects

Nepal; although the pandemic continues to abound Maiya and Tulsiram and their network of contacts managed to complete three of their projects for the year-- well done to everyone involved no doubt more to come during the year.

1. Title: Greenery and Environmental Health (Plantation programme) 1. Fruit species 2. Flower
Shiksha Sadan Secondary School

2. Title: Eco club formation and environmental awareness programme (for sanitation and environmental cleaniness): knowledge sharing and speaking skill development programme along with this programme. The eco club will be formed in Himalayan Secondary School, Kavre

3. Meditation exercises , singing, story telling and stationary distribution to Mamta Children - a home for very disadvantaged children

A Ray of Hope, UNESCO Youth Ambassador for the Culture of Peace

A Ray of Hope is not a charity and we try as far as possible never to assist in currency form, but rather prefer to investigate what people, especially children, need throughout the world and to deliver that item directly into their hands. This avoids many of the pitfalls that exist in the world of giving.
We believe that diversity of culture is enrichment and actively look for and promote friendships ..... if we can assist our friends we do.We have little difficulty in obtaining certain educational supplies and to date have distributed over $9 million worth. Some of the smaller items, although easily purchased, we feel it is to the benefit of everyone that those who wish can assist us and in doing so know that they have helped directly.
No member of A Ray of Hope receives financial gain of any kind but the true satisfaction of knowing that, at very least, we are attempting to make a difference.

We have had a request to inform readers how they can become involved in a Ray of Hope. Anyone who believes cultural diversity is enrichment, enjoys making friends and assisting when one can is welcome to contribute to our work.
