Uganda

Dear Don,

I have been receiving your emails and the Kingdom particularly the Youth Ministry is willing to work with you. I know we have alot to share and we are in line with UNESCO objectives.

I was touring the www.UNESCO.co.uk website and I got some information mainly concerning your programmes in Uganda. I have visited Kabubbu Community Library and I appreciated the work being done to help the Community.

Hope you got my attachments so that you can read through and see how we can go on. The Minister is out of the Country but she gave me a go ahead to discuss with you all the possible ways your Organisation can help us to accomplish most of the work in Kingdom basing on Education, Culture and good Health. Nice time.

A Ray of Hope, UNESCO Youth Ambassador for the Culture of Peace

A Ray of Hope is not a charity and we try as far as possible never to assist in currency form, but rather prefer to investigate what people, especially children, need throughout the world and to deliver that item directly into their hands. This avoids many of the pitfalls that exist in the world of giving.
We believe that diversity of culture is enrichment and actively look for and promote friendships ..... if we can assist our friends we do.We have little difficulty in obtaining certain educational supplies and to date have distributed over $9 million worth. Some of the smaller items, although easily purchased, we feel it is to the benefit of everyone that those who wish can assist us and in doing so know that they have helped directly.
No member of A Ray of Hope receives financial gain of any kind but the true satisfaction of knowing that, at very least, we are attempting to make a difference.

We have had a request to inform readers how they can become involved in a Ray of Hope. Anyone who believes cultural diversity is enrichment, enjoys making friends and assisting when one can is welcome to contribute to our work. There is rarely a need to ask for financial support except possibly within the bounds of individual projects. Feel free to contact me on don@unesco.co.uk.
