Nepal cultural programme, arts and learning and police community relations

A wonderful few days in Nepal as Maiya and Tulsiram complete 4 exciting initiatives I am sure you will be impressed with the superb photographs.

1. Nepal --Traditional cultural programme to create awareness promoting an interest among the students of their music, dance and cultural heritage 

Three performances: Place: Kalika Secondary School, Pyuthan Siddhartha Secondary School, Kathmandu

2. Nepal -- Arts and learning (classroom decoration) – The importance of art and learning in our lives – how does art contribute to our life styles and how does it influence us. marketing etc cultural/ heritage,  art

Shree Bal Adarsha Secondary School, Khopashi

3. Nepal --Connecting Community Police to the community and school students. Health and safety , creating awareness to community dangers. Shree Ram Secondary School

A Ray of Hope, UNESCO Youth Ambassador for the Culture of Peace

A Ray of Hope is not a charity and we try as far as possible never to assist in currency form, but rather prefer to investigate what people, especially children, need throughout the world and to deliver that item directly into their hands. This avoids many of the pitfalls that exist in the world of giving.
We believe that diversity of culture is enrichment and actively look for and promote friendships ..... if we can assist our friends we do.We have little difficulty in obtaining certain educational supplies and to date have distributed over $9 million worth. Some of the smaller items, although easily purchased, we feel it is to the benefit of everyone that those who wish can assist us and in doing so know that they have helped directly.
No member of A Ray of Hope receives financial gain of any kind but the true satisfaction of knowing that, at very least, we are attempting to make a difference.

We have had a request to inform readers how they can become involved in a Ray of Hope. Anyone who believes cultural diversity is enrichment, enjoys making friends and assisting when one can is welcome to contribute to our work.
