Dear Young Nigerian Professionals,

We would like to thank all who have indicated interest in participating
in
the NiPRO SA launch scheduled for next month. For those of us who are
yet
to do so please send an email to victor@unesco.co.uk with the subject
'NiPRO SA launch' by tomorrow latest.

We would like to inform all that there will be a meeting for all
delegates
scheduled for Sunday, January 20, 2008 in Lagos. Details of venue and
time will be communicated to individuals who notified us of their
intention to be part of the event.

A Ray of Hope, UNESCO Youth Ambassador for the Culture of Peace

A Ray of Hope is not a charity and we try as far as possible never to assist in currency form, but rather prefer to investigate what people, especially children, need throughout the world and to deliver that item directly into their hands. This avoids many of the pitfalls that exist in the world of giving.
We believe that diversity of culture is enrichment and actively look for and promote friendships ..... if we can assist our friends we do.We have little difficulty in obtaining certain educational supplies and to date have distributed over $9 million worth. Some of the smaller items, although easily purchased, we feel it is to the benefit of everyone that those who wish can assist us and in doing so know that they have helped directly.
No member of A Ray of Hope receives financial gain of any kind but the true satisfaction of knowing that, at very least, we are attempting to make a difference.

We have had a request to inform readers how they can become involved in a Ray of Hope. Anyone who believes cultural diversity is enrichment, enjoys making friends and assisting when one can is welcome to contribute to our work. There is rarely a need to ask for financial support except possibly within the bounds of individual projects. Feel free to contact me on don@unesco.co.uk.
