Hi Don

These are the latest pictures Andrapedesh. Is there any way of putting these on the internet to show the world whats happening to our orphanage. They have been evacuated to higher ground, and are safe, but Giri is constantly helping everyone to reach higher ground. Its really bad, as this is the worst floods for 100 years. People here have lost everything, and even their lives. We don t know the full facts of how many people are missing.
They expect the Krishna river to recede, in a weeks time.

A Ray of Hope, UNESCO Youth Ambassador for the Culture of Peace

A Ray of Hope is not a charity and we try as far as possible never to assist in currency form, but rather prefer to investigate what people, especially children, need throughout the world and to deliver that item directly into their hands. This avoids many of the pitfalls that exist in the world of giving.
We believe that diversity of culture is enrichment and actively look for and promote friendships ..... if we can assist our friends we do.We have little difficulty in obtaining certain educational supplies and to date have distributed over $9 million worth. Some of the smaller items, although easily purchased, we feel it is to the benefit of everyone that those who wish can assist us and in doing so know that they have helped directly.
No member of A Ray of Hope receives financial gain of any kind but the true satisfaction of knowing that, at very least, we are attempting to make a difference.

Anyone who believes cultural diversity is enrichment, enjoys making friends and assisting when one can is welcome to contribute to our work.
