India - two wonderful initiatives from Sujata and teams.

A fantastic excursion for our Senior children of The School of Happiness to Nainital. Thank you Sri Aurobindo Ashram for hosting and facilitating the week long Youth Camp that included activities such as hiking, trekking, rock climbing, outdoor survival training, adventure sports, volunteering and meditation.

Truly a life changing and unforgettable experience for our children where the core values we treasure were reinforced - team work, self awareness & belief, discipline, empathy, sustainability and time management.

A visit to the President's Estate and gardens - Amrit Udyaan - with our senior school children. The flowers and the setting were a visual treat as was the camaraderie, group cohesiveness and encouraging a positive use of leisure time. A day well spent!

A Ray of Hope, UNESCO Youth Ambassador for the Culture of Peace

A Ray of Hope is not a charity and we try as far as possible never to assist in currency form, but rather prefer to investigate what people, especially children, need throughout the world and to deliver that item directly into their hands. This avoids many of the pitfalls that exist in the world of giving.
We believe that diversity of culture is enrichment and actively look for and promote friendships ..... if we can assist our friends we do.We have little difficulty in obtaining certain educational supplies and to date have distributed over $9 million worth. Some of the smaller items, although easily purchased, we feel it is to the benefit of everyone that those who wish can assist us and in doing so know that they have helped directly.
No member of A Ray of Hope receives financial gain of any kind but the true satisfaction of knowing that, at very least, we are attempting to make a difference.

Anyone who believes cultural diversity is enrichment, enjoys making friends and assisting when one can is welcome to contribute to our work.
