Yes the girls in the college also doing well,their exam is in next month. The princesses send you lots of love and hugs. also say big hello to you. They are proud to be in new class, some of them are sitting the most important examination prior to their college education. They are getting bigger also.

Northern Ireland, Ireland and Nigeria - a message of thanks.

This epitomises the essence of what we in A Ray of Hope attempt to achieve i.e. we make friends and help when we can.
In Nigeria, Anu, has many pillars to Resource Sharing Network - the mentor/mentee education mentoring initiative - the orphanage and school for children with hearing difficulties - and the award scheme and essay competition. Sometimes it is difficult to assist but we try.
Finances were provided by Ulster Teachers' Union and trophies by CP Trophies and Engraving (Northern Ireland). These were given to Kevin and Carol (Northern Ireland) and then passed to Kevin's brother, Gerry, (Ireland) who works in Nigeria. Gerry brought them from Ireland to Nigeria and couriered them to Anu in Lagos. All of the items are now in Anu's possession and we can attempt to distribute them in the most effective and appropriate manner. A big thank you to everyone involved. Don

Nepal - from Piya and "our daughters"

 Dear Don,
Hope you are fine there. I have not hear from you for many days. I was out of Kathmandu for past few weeks and was not well for 2 weeks due to change of weather. It is hot and raining here after long time almost a year of drought.
Meanwhile, our kids have done well in their examinations...all of them got high flying pass. Now all of them are in new classes. Most of them got 1 and second ..some third and 4th position in their respective classes. Our monsters have dominated the entire classes that they are in in their overall performances. Many thanks goes to everyone's love and care for your kids.

Uganda from Seguya - just wonderful achievements

Hi Don,
The NGO Board issued Project Hope - Uganda a registration certificate number 7454 under the Non-Governmental Organizations Registration Statute 1989 on the 20th of March 2009 under the following conditions/directions:
a. The organization shall carry out its activities in the fields of promoting of welfare and community development initiatives for the youth and elderly; promotion of education.
b. The organization will operate in Wakiso District
c. The staffing of the organization must conform to its Constitution
d. This certificate is issued in the first instance for a period of 12 months

I have attached photos from a visit that members of project hope and representatives from NIACE made to a post-test club. The club is attached to Gayaza Project, like the pigeons are now coming together to fight stigma and develop skills with which they can earn a living for themselves.

Belarus - The very positive - Narowlya/Mozyr Area May, 2009

The vast majority of these photographs have been taken within 60 miles of Chernobyl, Ukraine and some in Narowlya and Kanotop much closer.
Of course Chernobyl was a terrible tragedy but let us always look to the positive as you will find in this video.
