Maiya's projects ; Nepal
Collection boxes Aghalee and Aghagallon October, 2020
Many thanks from A Ray of Hope UNESCO Youth Ambassador for the Culture of Peace to the proprietors, staff, and customers of Aghalee Mace, Aghalee Pharmacy, Aghalee Building and Agricultural Supplies, and Hannons Fruit and Vegetables Aghagallon. On this occasion the money boxes were “well full!” - allowing us to aim for two projects in Nepal those being a revisit to the children’s home where we provided all the children with schoolbags – this time we will provide much needed educational supplies, stationery, expendables etc and a health and hygiene workshop related to proper cleanliness strategies to combat the corona virus.

Schoolbags for children
Nepal
Situated
10 kms south of Kathmandu and south west of Mount Everest there is a home for disadvantaged children in
Chovar, Kirtipur, I have been informed by Maiya, that the children are
wonderfully polite, well disciplined and happy and that their home is caringly managed
and part of the “Supporting Children Initiative Foundation”
Collection boxes Aghalee
and Aghagallon June, 2020
Many thanks from A Ray of Hope UNESCO Youth
Ambassador for the Culture of Peace to the proprietors, staff, and customers of Aghalee Mace, Aghalee Pharmacy, Aghalee Building and Agricultural Supplies, and Hannons
Fruit and Vegetables Aghagallon. With the previous emptying, enough
money was generously donated to purchase 15 schoolbags for disadvantaged
children in a needy school in Nepal- this left 15 children still needing a
schoolbag – on this present occasion there was sufficient money to purchase the
remainder of the schoolbags required – just wonderful – Maiya, and the school
have been informed however, Western Union might not open until August, at which
time we will transfer the money, provide you with photographs of the remaining
children and their new schoolbags. – the bags have increased slightly in price
but still remain within the purchasing power of your donations.
