Project Hope, Kampala - Uganda ..... travel far to assist rural communities and village orphans.

Project Hope Kampala ...... always carries out community work in its areas of operation, the community activities that are always done are cleaning of elderly houses, visiting the most vulnerable like orphans, gardening, constructing of temporary toilets and many others. This week we decided to do community work in Luweero District , Kamira Sub County and many elderly houses were left clean, organised dance groups among them, attending to the orphans they look after, supplied basic needs to them like soap, sugar, clothes and many more. Luweero District Kamira Sub County was chosen because by that time it had more elderly and orphans that are really in need and many homes lacked toilets, gardens were in bad conditions and didn’t have most of the basic needs.

A Ray of Hope, UNESCO Youth Ambassador for the Culture of Peace

A Ray of Hope is not a charity and we try as far as possible never to assist in currency form, but rather prefer to investigate what people, especially children, need throughout the world and to deliver that item directly into their hands. This avoids many of the pitfalls that exist in the world of giving.
We believe that diversity of culture is enrichment and actively look for and promote friendships ..... if we can assist our friends we do.We have little difficulty in obtaining certain educational supplies and to date have distributed over $9 million worth. Some of the smaller items, although easily purchased, we feel it is to the benefit of everyone that those who wish can assist us and in doing so know that they have helped directly.
No member of A Ray of Hope receives financial gain of any kind but the true satisfaction of knowing that, at very least, we are attempting to make a difference.
